Building practical advocacy skills, civic participation and community leadership across Greater Western Sydney
Advocacy in Action is a community participation and civic capability initiative developed by GWSAN to help people better understand how to engage with the systems shaping their communities.
Many people care deeply about housing affordability, transport access, healthy communities and the future of Greater Western Sydney — but are often unsure how to meaningfully participate in public conversations and decision-making processes.
Advocacy in Action aims to help bridge that gap.
Through practical workshops, collaborative projects, civic education and participation opportunities, the initiative supports people to build confidence, strengthen civic understanding and contribute to healthier, fairer and more connected communities.
