What is Youth Voices?

Youth Voices is where conversations become action.

It provides opportunities for young people to:

• connect with others who care about Western Sydney

• discuss issues affecting their communities

• contribute ideas and lived experience

• develop leadership and communication skills

• collaborate on projects and events

• help shape the Western Sydney Youth Gazette

• participate in research and advocacy

• gain practical experience while making a positive difference

You choose how involved you'd like to be. Some people participate occasionally, while others become regular contributors and help lead projects.

How You Can Participate 

There are many ways to get involved.

Join discussions

Share your ideas, experiences and perspectives on issues affecting Greater Western Sydney.

Help shape projects

Contribute ideas for future events, campaigns, workshops and community initiatives.

Build new skills

Develop practical skills in communication, leadership, research, teamwork and advocacy through hands-on participation.

Meet new people

Connect with young people from different communities, cultures and backgrounds who share an interest in creating positive change.

Support the Youth Gazette

Help develop themes, contribute articles, review ideas or submit your own creative work.

Who Can Join? 

Youth Voices welcomes young people who:

• live in Greater Western Sydney

• study in Greater Western Sydney

• work in Greater Western Sydney

• have a strong connection to the region

We welcome people from all backgrounds and experiences.

You don't need previous leadership, advocacy or volunteering experience.

What Happens After You Join? 

Joining Youth Voices is simple.

Step 1

Complete the registration form.

Tell us a little about yourself and the things you're interested in.

Step 2

We'll send you information about Youth Voices and upcoming opportunities.

Where appropriate, you'll also receive an invitation to join the Western Sydney Youth Collective WhatsApp Community.

Step 3

Choose the activities that interest you.

There is no expectation that you attend everything.

Participate when you can.

Step 4

Start connecting with other young people and getting involved in projects that interest you.
